In the cold of January Projects Gallery will be warming it up with “Obras” a showcase of hot Latin art. Projects shares a special connection with Latin American art, which is a good thing, as contemporary art from the region just may be “the next big thing”. Representing Latino artists residing in the Philadelphia area, as well as internationally known artists working from their native countries, Projects is pleased to present “Obras”.

“Obras” (artistic works) features diverse contemporary Latin artists from across the Americas, working in a variety of media. Represented in this show are Venezuelans Henry Bermudez and Enrique Etievan, Cubans Kcho, Alejandro Mendoza, and Alex Queral, as well as work from the well-known Columbian, Fernando Botero, and others. Each artist explores the nature of identity in works ranging from drawings to sculpture to paintings.
