Frank Galuszka & Douglas Wirls "Observations” brings together the works of two established artists. In a first-time dual exhibition, Frank Galuszka and Douglas Wirls present paintings and drawings which focus on the landscape. Vibrant colors and elegant lines earmark their distinctive styles. These atmospheric images speak to the abstract with a keen sense of color and lyrical rhythms. The artists represent the best of both coasts (Frank in Santa Cruz, California, and Douglas in Brooklyn, NY), and both artists have a Philadelphia connection having earned degrees from the Tyler School of Art (Frank with a M.F.A. and Doug a B.F.A.). Each has had extensive exhibition careers, and their works are in several prestigious private and public collections. Douglas has works in the permanent collections in the Cigna Museum, the Pennsylvania State Museum and the Woodmere Museum, as well as others. Frank’s work has been collected by the LaSalle Museum of Art, the Woodmere Museum and elsewhere. The artists have received critical acclaim in multiple publications, including Art in America, Philadelphia Inquirer and American Artist Magazine. |
